Hucrest Elementary

Hi everyone!

My name is Colin Hurowitz and I am excited to direct the Hucrest Community Band and Choir this year!

Here is the current schedule:

Tuesday 9/16 @ 3:45pm - Choir Family Meeting

Thursday 9/18 @ 3:45pm - Band Family Meeting

I strongly recommend attending the family meetings, even if you are only mildly interested. During these I explain expectations, the audition process, the performance and rehearsal schedule, and will answer any questions. Only one adult representative from the family is necessary (and the student too) If you cannot make the meeting(s), please send me an email at churowitz@roseburg.k12.or.us or a ParentSquare.

Tuesday 9/23 from 3:30 - 4:30pm - Choir auditions 4:30 - 5pm - Fancy Choir auditions

Thursday 9/25 - 3:30 - 5pm - Band auditions

Tuesday 9/30 from 4 - 6pm - Band & Choir Car Wash Fundraiser - Hucrest front driveway

Thursday 10/2 - Band instrument assignment and distribution

Choir rehearsals - Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:30pm. Fancy Choir - 4:30 - 5:00

Band rehearsals - Thursdays from 3:30 - 5pm

Band and Choir will go until the first week of June.

If I get sick or can’t find a substitute, then there won’t be rehearsal that day.
